The “ Black Dog Music Project”. is a User Led Organisation (ULO) set up to provide music sessions. These are for people with disabilities who cannot access main stream music organisations due to mental health, health or social barriers.
The Black dog Music Project is a Norwich Based Charity that provides help and support for people with mental health problems. We provide music sessions throughout the week at Earth studios Norwich for our members to attend weekly sessions to either learn to play from scratch or regain forgotten skills with a goal to raising their confidence & self esteem, join existing or form new bands within the project. We are now in our 10th year and have helped so many people become less socially isolated and confident to deal with other barriers in their lives. Its not just about music, we offer support to our members with advocacy, form filling and advice. We are also a member group of the NCODP where we sign post people to for help. 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health issues, no-one is immune from suffering at sometime and its great to know that there are organisations like the project here to help you when you need us.
